Chad W. Firetag
Mr. Firetag joined the law firm of Grech & Firetag in October of 2001 and is now a partner in the firm. During his time with the office, he has represented hundreds of clients, both private and indigent, on a number of different criminal matters involving drug offenses, domestic violence, driving under the influence, theft, manslaughter, and murder. He has also represented clients facing California "Three Strikes" law, arguably the harshest recidivist law in the country.
Part of Mr. Firetag's commitment to his profession is constant communication with the client. Most people who are arrested for a crime are scared, nervous and apprehensive about the criminal justice system. Just as a patient needs to be aware of the decisions his doctor is going to make with his life, so too must the client be advised by his lawyer of the decisions that will inevitably affect his life.
In order to be an effective advocate for the client, Mr. Firetag routinely attends seminars throughout the states that range in topic from DUIs to the death penalty. When the government has the entire power of the state and the police to take away one's liberty, it is clear that clients need the cutting-edge techniques and procedures that are taught at these seminars.
